Who we are:

We strive to uphold the Masonic Values instilled upon us in Lodge and will govern ourselves according to the Masonic Landmarks and in accordance with the rules of the Grand Lodge of Maine.  It is these values, landmarks, and rules that keep us within our due bounds and remind us of our obligations to assist not only other Masons, but also - and most especially - their widows and orphans.

The Temple Guard accepts Master Masons who ride motorcycles as a member. If you wish to become a member of the Temple Guard Chapter of the Widows Sons of Maine but have not yet become a Master Mason, we will direct you to your local Masonic Lodge. If you become a Mason, we will welcome you as a member.

We meet on the first Tuesday of each month at Mosaic Lodge in Dover-Foxcroft at 1830 unless otherwise designated by a vote of the membership at an earlier meeting and that notice begiven to the membership at least two weeks prior to the meeting. There are attendance requirements as set forth in our By-Laws.

History:

In the Fall of 2015 at a benefit supper for the widows and orphans of a fallen Brother Master Mason, Bruce "Joker" Marshall asked Jef "Wyzyrd" Hamlin about joining the Low XII Riders Chapter of the Widows Sons. That led to a discussion about starting a whole new Chapter in the Dover-Foxcroft area.

Phone calls were made and the idea stewed for a few months. In the Spring of 2016, Jef, Bruce, and several area Masons met at the Dover-Foxcroft police department conference room. By the end of the meeting, four members of the Low XII Riders would help local area Masons to lay the groundwork for a new chapter. Three of these members along with 10 other Masons would later become the founding members of the 8th Chapter of Widows Sons of Maine, Temple Guard.

The Temple Guard Chapter was officially chartered by the Grand Chapter of Maine on August 28th, 2016 with 13 members. We now have 34 members and continue to grow.
